Review.of Wicked Love (Wicked White #3) by Michelle Valentine

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. 

In this book we meet Tyler Mercer and Avery Jenson. Avery is a girl who's father did a very bad thing and it is coming back to hurt his daughter. When it is found out that Avery's father embezzled from the company he worked for nobody cares that Avery didn't know what was happening she is shunned at her college. When she finds out her boyfriend is cheating on her with one of her sorority sisters she is determined to do something about it. However at the last minute she just can't seem to and her supposed friends ditch her. Luck for her a good looking Samaritan comes by and helps her out. She doesn't know what to make of Tyler but when her life makes a drastic chance she thinks that first encounter is all she will get. 

Tyler meets the most beautiful girl ever and without getting anyway to see her again she is gone. Tyler can't seem to get her off his mind but he thinks he had his one shot and blew it, little did he expect to find her at his job in a small town. Tyler has dreams that he won't give up and promises to his late father he is determined to fulfill. He just didn't plan on Avery and what she could do to all those best laid plans and promises. He is however determined to have as much fun with her until it all falls apart. 

This is different than the other two books in this series. For one Tyler isn't looking to be a rocker he wants to be a country singer. Two Tyler knows what he wants and is willing to make sacrifices to get there. This book has its ups and downs that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. This is another amazing hit in this series. This one is a little mellower but still packs a punch. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Review of Demand by Lisa Renee Jones

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. This is not a stand alone it is a continuation.

In this book we continue the story that started in Denial. This book starts where the last one ended. Ella is holding a gun on Kayden in the shower. Ella knows that she is getting closer to Kayden even if she can't completely remember. The question then becomes is she fighting him because she doesn't trust him of because she feels like he is keeping secrets from her? Only she can decide how much faith she will put into Kayden. 

Kayden knows he needs Ella more and more and not just for the information on the necklace. He needs the strong woman that she is. He is determined to prove she is not only strong enough to be with him in his home but he will protect her and let her show her strength outside of it. Kayden is also not caring if she ever gets her memory back. He knows it is important to her though. Can he help her not only fight the battle with her mind but also with forces that are coming for her or will he loose another woman that means so much to him?

This is another roller-coaster ride with these two. This couple will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. This is one of those books where you will want to lock the door, turn off the ringer and ignore everyone around you until you read those 2 words, The Ends. There is so much I want to tell you but don't want to ruin any of the surprise in this book. I will say that it is an absolute amazing read. This is another hit for this author. I would highly recommend it. 

Review of Jacob's Trap by Nicole Stewart

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. 

In this book we meet Claire, Nick, and Jacob. When this book opens up Claire and her boyfriend Daniel seem to the have the ideal life. Daniel is a journalist and Claire is a computer tech. Their life seems perfect until one day Daniel comes home late one night and tells Claire that he has to break-up with her for her own safety. Two months later while at conference with Nick she gets some devastating news Daniel her now ex-boyfriend has been murdered. This starts a chain of events that have her questioning everything. Claire wonders will she ever get her life back? How will Nick and Jacob play into that new life?

Nick has always thought that Claire was beautiful, but he also knew that she was completely loyal to Daniel so he never pushed her for more than friendship. So when she gets the news that Daniel has been murdered he knows again this isn't the right time to tell her how he feels. However one slip of the tongue has Claire questioning him and him trying to find a way to hold her off. When they go to the bar that night they run into Jacob and all decide to take a cab back because none of them are in a good place to drive. However things go south real quick and all of his military training is needed to get them all out of this alive. What happens though when this is just the beginning and some of his old demons come back can he help these people or will he be the one to hurt them?

Jacob ends up at the same conference as Nick and Claire and Claire literally bumps into the back of him. He is a jerk to her but finds them later that night and decides to buy them a drink as way of an apology. After having to many to drive back to his hotel he ends up and a race for his life that he never thought he would be a part of. Jacob has demons as well and wonders can he stay close to the two people who maybe the only ones who can help him in this situation. 

This is a full length novel that is full of twists and turns. For most of this book Claire questions things about herself, Daniel and their level of commitment. This book will have you saying what will happen to these people more than once. There is so much more I want to tell you about this book but do not want to ruin any of the surprises in it. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. 

Review of Royal Prick by J.L. Beck

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. 

In this book we meet Royal and Noelle. Royal is a very angry young man, and after 1 to many fights his mother decides that it is time for his father to try and deal with him. Royal's father has not been in his life for most of his life. When he was little he left and though he promised to come back see Royal he never returned. There are only two ways Royal has learned to let out his anger and that is meaningless sex and fighting so when he is sent to his fathers he has no plans on changing that. This is till he meets his new step-sister who he doesn't quite know what to do with. She sees to much but he thinks the princess just can understand. What will happen if he is proven wrong?

Noelle knows there has to be more to Royal than just a bad attitude and a need to fight no matter what her mother says. Getting him to open up to her is another subject all together. All Noelle knows is that she sees something in Royal and isn't willing to let him just be something else for her mother to complain about. The thing is there are things that Royal can teach her that will make her a stronger person. She wants more out of life and it seems like Royal is giving her permission to go for them. What happens though when this new life becomes more than she thought possible?

This is an amazing book about judging people before you even meet them. Both of these characters have had a rough life and are fighting for everything they get, just in a different way. There is so much I want to tell you but hate to ruin any of the twists in this book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Review of The Sexiest Couple by M. Clarke

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. 

In this book we continue the story of Olivia Hunt and Nathan Cross. In the end of the last book / first part of this book we find that Olivia's ex Troy is back and he is still a jerk. He not only threatens Olivia to come back to him he threatens anyone she is with. Luck for her she still hasn't told Nathan that she wants him back. So though it pains her she feels the more she keeps him at arms length the safer he and his career will be. But how long can she keep this up before Nathan is pushing her to tell him everything?

Nathan is so confused he knows he still has feelings for his ex but are they enough to give up on the new woman in his life? When Kelly starts to get all possessive of his time and telling him that he can't hang out even with Olivia Nathan is beginning to wonder if this is really the relationship he really wants. Also with Olivia all the sudden acting weird and this photographer Troy that he can't stand around he is more confused then ever. Will he decide what and who he wants before the choice is taken from him?

This book is hot and definitely filled with nail biting scenes that will have you on the edge of your seat. This book also shows us what the power of true love can really do for a person, whether you are with them or not. There is so much I want to tell you about this book but I don't want to ruin it for anyone. I will say it is a continuation of the Sexiest Man Alive it is not meant as a stand alone. It is a must read though. I would highly recommend it.

Review of Glass Ceilings by A.M. Madden

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. 

In this book we meet Angela and Nick. Both Angela and Nick have a plan for their life and it doesn't include falling in love. They both feel the attraction and might be willing to go for a one night stand but no more than that. Angela has a plan be in Chicago only through the holiday after that she off to another city. Angela has some baggage in her her life that makes her very cautious and apprehensive about being with someone new. So when Eve and Jase practically force them into a possible one night stand the seed is sown she just has to decide what she will do with that see.

Nick is a man with a lot of secrets and knows that he wants to know more about Angela but this could not be worse timing. Nick feels the spark but isn't sure if Angela does. So what does he do? He acts like a love sick puppy dog in the beginning but as he knows his time is running out he must step up his game before he's gone. Nick isn't sure how much of himself and what he really does for a living that Angela can deal with but the more he learns about her the more he sees his future with this woman. 

There is so much I want to tell you about their story but I don't want to ruin any surprises that as a reader you will find. This book is amazing and will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. You will be rooting for them one moment and wanting to smack them the next. There are appearances from Ben and Ella which you meet in Stone Walls. This is a story about love, forgiveness, and fighting for that HEA that everyone wants in a relationship.

Review of Until June by Aurora Rose Reynolds

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. 

In this book we meet June Mayson (November & Asher's Daughter) & Evan Barrister. When this book opens we find that June's latest boyfriend isn't all that he seems. In fact she never even knew his real name. So June has decided she is done with men after this one. The thing is though the men in her family know that her ex is a bad guy and are determined to protect her even though he is in jail awaiting trial. She could handle all of their overprotective natures what she is having the problem with is the man they sent to protect her is none other than her ex husband Evan. But oh wait only her sister July knows about the fact that he use to be her husband. Seeing Evan is not something she is prepared to do because she doesn't understand what she did wrong that made him want to leave her. All she know is to protect her heart she needs to stay as far away from him as possible. Is that possible though with all those old feelings?

Evan had a rough childhood his dad was abusive, his mom is a drunk, and his brother is on a path of destruction with drugs. Evan wanted a better life so he thought the military would give him that he never planned on meeting and falling in love with June before he started boot camp. He also never thought he would experience such horrors while overseas. All he did know was his beautiful June deserved a better life then the crap hand he had been dealt and felt the best thing to do for her was let her go. Sometime letting go is harder than we think though and all Evan wants is his wife back. Not just for a one and done time but mind, body, and soul all his again. What he doesn't know if the damage he did really can be repaired or if he has hurt her so bad she won't let him back in. Evan isn't scared of Asher but he respects her father and is determined to do things right this time even if it could mean a serious but kicking. Can he get back the one woman who gives him a reason to breath everyday?

This author has yet to write a book that once I start it I can't put it down. This one is no exception. This book is about love, loss, and finding a way to have it all again after everything. I thought the the way the author shows both points of view on how they feel about the fact that they aren't together anymore and what they thought of the time they were together amazing. I want to tell you so much but don't want to ruin any of the surprises. I will say this is a book that will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. It is an absolute must read. This is a stand alone you might want to read Until July just to understand some of the reference between July and Wes. I would however recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

“What you don’t seem to understand is all that matters right now is standing right fucking here,” Nolan said, his voice thick and deep. His eyes were the darkest I’d ever seen them, glimmering with wicked intent. One side of his full lips curled upward in a devilish smirk. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t think. I was consumed by him. Or at least, from the way he continued to fuck me with his eyes, I knew I was about to be.

Nolan took a step forward and I took two back. Our little dance made him chuckle, the sound coming from deep within his throat. With just that little laugh my insides clenched so hard I gasped. Nolan’s smirk grew into a knowing smile. His eyes darted to the space between my legs where my shorts had ridden up, exposing every inch of my shaking thighs.

He licked his bottom lip, tracing it with the tip of his tongue. My inner battle raged on between wanting to run away from him, and wanting to run straight into him. Although, it wasn’t like it mattered which option won out in the end. The pier was narrow, and Nolan was blocking my only way out.

He reached down and unbuckled his belt, sliding it out through the loops. Folding it in half, he snapped the leather together. The sound an echoing crack through the damp night air.

Our dance continued as he took another step toward me and I again retreated. “Since you don’t seem to feel the same way, let me tell you what’s going to happen right now,” Nolan started.

“I’m going to make you come on my fingers.” Step. “On my tongue.” Step. “And around my cock.” His last step closed the space between us. My back hit the railing, trapping me between the end of the pier and his hard wall of a chest. My breathing became even more labored, my chest rising and falling in quick succession against his. Pressing against my stomach I could feel the heat of his hard cock through the worn fabric of his jeans. My nipples hardened as the ache in my core grew into need. “I’m going to fuck you. Hard. And I’m not going to stop fucking you until you realize that this shit between us is all that matters.”

That’s when I realized there would be no escaping this time.
