Review of Mated to the Cyborg General by Kit Tunstall

I received this book as an ARC for a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Carrie Morgan and DVS84. When this book opens up we find Carrie crocheting in her living room next things she knows there is a large ball of light. She is unable to speak and doesn't understand what is going on. All she knows is she has been matched by Celestial Mates and she is on her way to meet her mate. She doesn't know where this person is or in what time this person will be in. All she knows is she was chosen and it is time to go. Will she be able to adapt and will this be a true mating or will she have just traveled through time for nothing/

DVS84 believes he is coming to find the weapon that will help him stop the war with the humans, little did he know it would be a human woman he would be meeting. He remembers something about Freydon Rote saying something about a mate but all he concentrated on was a weapon. Upon looking at the woman though he finds possessive thoughts he never thought he would have coming over him. He doesn't know what to do but the more time he spends with the woman the more he wants. Can he protect both her and all the people under his command? Or will he loose something even more precious then he could have predicted?

This is a great short story about finding love when you never expected to. It also shows us first impressions aren't always correct because you may infuse your own bias into them. This book has some amazing twists and turns to it, that I want to tell you all about it but don't want to ruin the story for other readers. I will say this is an book that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
