Review Faking For Her by Kira Blakely

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Shawna Peterson and Gage Steele. Shawna learned young the only person you can count on to take care of you is you. So when she starts having problems with an ex she does what she always has and handles it on her own. However Pierce is leaning into stalker territory and she isn't quite sure what to do about that. So on one time when her boss comes to her rescue she lets him knowing it is just a one time thing. Little did she know how much she would really need his help and what it might cost her to get it. Shawna knows nothing in life is free but is she willing to pay the price to be with Gage?

Gage has been burned by women in the past that is why he has his rule about one night only. However to land the business deal he is anxious to close he has to show himself as more than a one night guy. So he has a proposal for Shawna after watching a man he knows to be trouble grab her in his casino. Pretend to be his live-in girlfriend and he will protect her from her ex. Seems simple enough to him but little did he know what he was getting into with Shawna. Can he open up to her at least enough to make this work or will he blow his big deal and maybe loose the woman he is having real feelings for forever?

This is a story about two broken people who think they have the way to navigate this life figured out for themselves only to find out there is more to learn. It also leads to the question can two broken people find love or will they destroy it because of their past? This story has many twists and turns that you won't see coming in it. I want to tell you all about them but don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book is a must read, it will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
