Review of Savage Penance by Liza Street

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Gwyn and Doug. Doug never wanted to be a father all he wanted was to be a guardian. So after he hooks up one night with a woman named Gwyn he meets her later at the grocery store pregnant. Not wanting to give up his lifestyle he runs. Three years later something draws him back. He wants know if Gwyn is alright what about his child is it like him? These are questions he knows he should have stayed around to have answered he was just to selfish back then. Gwyn can't believe what is going on in her coven. She knows she needs to get her son away as soon as possible before the leader tries something on him. When his protection chain breaks and his true nature is revealed she knows her time has run out. At the same time the one person who just might be able to help them both comes back into town. Caleb's father after all is a shifter just like her son. Will this give them both the help and answers they both need or will they loose everything they never knew they could have again?

This is a great second chance book. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
