I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
Int his book we meet Frances "Frannie" & Fikus. Remember we met him in Dragon's Curvy Engineer. He took the Red Diamond thinking it would give him his quick fix and he would be perfect for his mate. What he learns instead is something much different. Every-time he comes before his mate he isn't perfect he is still the twisted man he was before but he begins to realize she doesn't see him that way. Frannie can't believe what is happening. It seems like the fires she comes to recently all have a man she can see but there are no burns on him. She wonders what this means until some government men come and take him from her latest fire. She knows she has to save him she just doesn't know why. Will these mates find their HEA or will the government and the dragons own beliefs be their downfall?
This is another amazing story in this series. Each of these can be read as a stand alone but I would recommend reading them in order so you don't lose an of the surprises. This book like all the others does have its ups and down. You will find that no matter which of these stories this one included you can find something that rings true even today. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
