Review of Pining for my Dad's Friend by Lauren Milson/ Daniella Cole

I received this short story with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this short story we meet Mandy and James. Mandy is at a liquor story trying to buy wine for her romantic night with her boyfriend. It is supposed to be the night. After the clerk calls her ID a fraud and kicks her out of the story. The dress she put on to be perfect for this night is ruined by cars driving through puddles from the rain, a girl claiming to be his girlfriend calls her and tells her he is hers and some creepy guys keep leering at her. So she does the only thing she can and wants to she calls James. James has wanted Mandy for the last couple of years. He has stayed away because he thought he was to old for her. Something happened though on her 21st birthday 6 months ago that he can forget. Will this be the beginning of their HEA or will this be something the will both regret?

Great short story. Feels a little rushed though. I would have liked to see more of a story-line that developed than just snippets of one. Over I would recommend it for a good short read.
