Review of Self Sacrifice by Anya Summers

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Genevieve "Gen" Holt and Killian Raveau. When this book opens we find Gen in a hotel room that she has just woke up in filling up with smoke. She hears the fire alarms and knows she has to get out. She grabs just what she can't live without and out the door she as she heads to the closest set of stairs. While on her way there though a wave of dizziness hits her so hard it drives her to her knees and she wonders if she will get out there. She calls out when she finds she has no strength to open the door to get to safety. She is in luck though at that same moment a firefighter comes to her rescue. She doesn't how he got there but she is stubborn and wants to believe she can do it all on her own. Again it is her luck that he doesn't listen. This is their first meeting but not their last at least she hopes so. Killian can't seem to forget the woman whom he took out of the outdated hotel. There is something about her but he knows if he really wants he can get any woman he wants. He also believes that she lives out of state so his chances of seeing her again are slim to none. His captain tells him he is very impressed with his skills and would like him to become a fire inspector. He knows doing this will take him out of the action though and he isn't ready for that yet. When these two meet again will it be a chance for a HEA or will there be something that will be in their way no matter what?

This is another amazing hit by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
