As Jax and Rachel start their lives together, finally engaged and living in Los Angeles, all seems right with the world until Chloe wants to enter their lives again. She wants to be closer to her son, Jace, and in order to keep the peace, Jax agrees. Unfortunately, trouble seems to be swirling in the air when Rachel’s high school crush enters their lives; meanwhile Chloe proclaims to be pregnant.

Rachel is left questioning whether Jax is the one she wants to live happily ever after with, while they are left pondering who could be the father of Chloe’s baby. Could their relationship be strong enough to surpass these obstacles or will this mean the end of Jax and Rachel's love.

**Please post one excerpt**

Excerpt #1
Rachel yawned, dragging her feet across the beige carpet. “I need to ask you a question.”
I wasn’t sure if I had heard her right. My mind was somewhere else. Ignoring her, I took her to our bathroom and turned on the shower.
“Jax, what are you doing? I told you—”
The water running muted the rest of her words. With my eyes locked on hers, I said, “I think someone needs a shower.”
“Huh?” Her sleepy eyes popped open. Leaning against the cabinet, she had nowhere to go.
I took three long strides to her before she could blink and I sealed my lips to hers. Rachel sucked in air and I heard a defeated whimper. She seemed to love this sudden show of lust pouring out of me. Grabbing her ass, I slowed down the pace and tenderly trailed my kisses down her neck to her shoulder. As I continued to kiss her, I slowly peeled the layers of her clothes as she did the same with mine.
I led her to the shower and embraced her in my arms. The warm water pouring between us was hot and arousing. My body was already on fire, but touching her flesh and hearing Rachel moan drove me wild. Slow down, I told myself. She was going to leave me for four days soon, and even though four days wasn’t that long, I wanted to savor this moment with her.

Excerpt #2
Jax sat up, rubbing his eyes and trying to process what had happened. My lusting hormones shot up, seeing Jax shirtless with lazy eyes and his taut biceps flexing while he supported himself on his arms. It sent all sorts of pleasurable tingles through me.
When he caught my eyes, he gave me that sexy smirk. “Good morning, babe.” His tone was full of love and mischief. Looking down at the culprit, Jax smiled. “When did Jace get into our bed?”
I snuggled against my pillow, moving closer to Jax. Jax moved Jace’s leg out of his way and got as close to me as possible.
“I suppose in the middle of the night.” I stared into his warm-brown eyes—those eyes I could lose myself in. Extending my arm, I caressed his dimple.
“Did he wake you?” Jax asked, brushing my hair away from my face, and then caressing my arm.
“No.” I closed my eyes to soak in the warmth of his touch. It radiated love, and I didn’t want him to remove his hand. That heat traveled to my very core, and I wasn’t ashamed to admit it…to my sex, completely turning me on.
“What do you want to do today?” he asked, running his thumb along my lips, sending electrifying shock waves through me, especially when he gave me that “I want you” look.
Jax moaned when I slipped my hands under the blanket and cupped his dick over his boxers. “I can think of many things, especially when it comes to what I’m touching.”

Review of Something Precious by M. Clarke

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we are back with Jax and Rachel. You would think after all they went through in Something Amazing that it would be all smooth sailing for these two but that is just not the case. With Rachel now becoming an up an coming photographer the demand for her talents are becoming more and more. She also wants to be an amazing step-mother to Jace, Jax is talking about wanting her to get pregnant soon after they married, and of course Chloe has to come back at this time as well. With all of this she isn't sure if being with Jax is where she really wants to be right now or not.

Jax knows something is going on with Rachel but he just doesn't know what it is or how to deal with it. The more time that passes the more he feels her slipping away and that scares he more than anything. Jax knows that if he doesn't figure out what is best for his family there won't be a family to worry about and that isn't something he can deal with. He hopes with the help of all of the others that maybe just maybe there will still be a chance for a HEA in their future.

This book is another amazing book in this series. All of your old favorites are back but this story really centers around Jax and Rachel. Both of them need to not only figure out what they want for their own life but what they are willing to do to ensure that they make it as a couple. I would highly recommend this book it is an amazing story that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end.

Harley

It all started last summer at cheerleading tryouts. I don’t count sophomore year when I was completely invisible—at least I hope I was.
No, it was a week before school started, and I’d just gotten my braces off. Shelly had insisted I try out with her, so we were all at the gym. The boys—Trent included—had been playing basketball on the half-court until Coach Taylor sent them outside. They’d pretended to be pissed, but we knew they were really there checking out the new recruits.
My turn went okay. I did some easy cheers, and then came the jumps portion. I did The Banana, and Stephanie nearly squirted cherry Icee through her nose.
Meg leaned over and giggled, “What was that?” under her breath, and Stephanie shouted “Next!” like it had been some sort of Broadway show from which I’d just been cut.
I kept my head down as I walked off the court, hoping my ponytail would hide my burning cheeks. I bit my lip, doing my best not to cry.
Usually I’m not so weak, but that had been about as humiliating as my stupid non-jump. I sat on the metal bleachers staring at my shoes until finally I grabbed my bag and decided to leave.
I’d just opened the metal door when WHAM!
Next thing I knew, I was lying on the ground with my head in somebody’s lap. A voice was saying something, and my eyes flickered open. The sun was shining right in my face, and the first thing I was able to make out was… lavender.
Trent’s head was inches from mine. My stomach flipped, and I bumped our noses as I tried to sit up.
“Hey,” he laughed, leaning back. “Harley, right? Can you stand up?”
“What?” I tried to stand, but my head felt like I’d run into a brick wall. I caught his shoulder. It felt really nice and firm.
“You ran into a brick wall,” he said. “Sort of. David had just thrown the ball, and I missed it. It kind of knocked you out.”
I reached up to touch my forehead, and as he helped me up, my face went into his chest where I caught a deep breath of the woodsy boy-smell coming off him. For a head injury, this could be worse.
“I was knocked out?” I timidly looked up at him, and he smiled.
The sun was shining all golden behind his head, and it made him look like a knight. Or one of those hot angels. Just then Shelly came outside.
“There you are. Sorry, just got my—what happened!?”
“Basketball hit her in the head,” Trent said.
I wanted to die. What a dork!
“I think she hit her head on the wall,” he continued. “She might need to go to Urgent Care.”
“Oh my god!” Shelly cried. “Bring her inside. I’ll get Coach Taylor.”
“I’m okay,” I said. My knees were wobbly, but I couldn’t tell if it was my head or Trent’s arm tight around my waist. He was holding my hand even.
Shelly held the metal door open, and next thing I knew, David had joined us.
“Hey, Harley, I’m really sorry.” He caught my other arm, and I felt Trent’s grip loosen. David’s dark head was in the shadow of the gym, and he was definitely not an angel. Go away, David.
“It’s okay,” I said, trying to smile and scoot back toward Trent. “Really, I’m fine.”
“I can drive her to the doctor,” Shelly said. I tried to give her my most discouraging look. Just then Stephanie joined the mob.
“What’s up? Harley? Are you okay?”
“We’re taking her to Coach Taylor,” Shelly said.
“What happened?”
“Harley might have a concussion,” David said like it was the most exciting thing to happen all summer.
David was distracted by Stephanie, and I leaned on Trent’s arm. He caught my waist again and smiled, and everything turned perfect. The humiliation of tryouts, the humiliation of being beaned in the head with a basketball, none of it mattered as I stood there with Trent’s arm tight around me.
Until Coach Taylor showed up and ruined it.
She took me away and led me to the bleachers. Then she started shining her tiny flashlight in my eyes. “Do you feel sleepy? Like you might vomit?”
Nice. I shook my head, and David started bouncing the dumb ball again. Coach Taylor shouted for all the boys to get back outside and told me to sit where she could keep her eye on me. I watched the guys leave, and just as Trent was going through the door, he stopped and glanced back. It was because he wanted to stay with me, I was sure, and I tried to catch his eye. David shoved him through the opening before he saw me, and I sighed, turning back to the court. Stephanie was watching, but she quickly flicked her attention back to her sheet and called the next name.
As I rested on the bleachers, everything felt sort of soft and glowy. It seemed like music was playing somewhere—and not because of my head injury. It was because I knew Trent was The One, my hero. I tried to remember if I’d thanked him, but it didn’t matter. I was sure he’d ask me out.
A week later we all started junior year, and the next time I saw Trent, he was walking down the hall holding hands with Stephanie.

Excerpt (Steamy)
His hand slides to my back and he leans me toward the table, forcing me to catch myself on my elbows. He holds me there, his body cradling mine, his lips a breath from a touch. “I won’t let you fall.”
“I know,” I say, and I do now. Beyond time and reason, I trust this man.
His mouth brushes mine and then trails down my jaw, slowly teasing a path to my ear, where he whispers, “I’m not going to claim to own you the way he did.” He flattens his hands on my belly, possessiveness in the touch. “I’m just going to make you wish I did.”
My lips part with the erotic promise, and he is already kissing me, licking into my mouth, his tongue a sultry, seductive promise that he can make good on his vow. And while I do not wish anyone to own me again, I want what he offers in a way that defies reason.

He nips my lips and licks away the sweet ache, and somehow I feel that lick between my thighs where I am already wet and aching. His whiskers rasp on my cheek, down my neck to my shoulder, a wicked burn that is torment and pleasure at the same time. Like he is. His hands settle on my waist, lingering there, teasing me with all the places they could go, until finally he is caressing my body, up and down, a slow, sexy, torturous exploration.
He pinches my nipples again and he is not gentle, but I do not seem to want gentle. My sex clenches and my knees crush his hips. His lips curve to a small, satisfied smile that is wickedly sexy, and rawly male. He leans in and licks one of my throbbing nipples, sending a shiver down my spine, and I arch upward, the table biting into my elbows, but I do not care. He is sucking me, dragging deep on the knotted peak, and pleasure tingles through my nerve endings, my sex, forcing my legs to squeeze his hips again.
My arms tremble with my weight and he responds without me asking, moving closer and laying me on top of the table. My spine flattens on the hard surface and he lingers above me. “I want more.”
“More what?”
“Everything,” he says, his lips nuzzling my ear as he repeats, “Everything, Ella. Can I have it?”
The question affects me, but not as much as the way he waits, genuinely seeking my approval. He takes power but somehow gives it to me as well, and this is freedom to me, safety. Things I do not think I have often felt in my life. “Yes,” I whisper. “Yes.”
He inhales as if my approval surprises and pleases him, as if it is a gift he relishes, not a property he owns. And it is then that I give myself the freedom to just let go, the muscles in my body easing in ways they hadn’t before. I do give him everything. His mouth caresses mine and he whispers, “That’s what I wanted,” as if he knows I’ve made that decision.
And already his lips are traveling down my neck, tongue flicking here and there, his hand caressing, squeezing my breast. He assaults my senses with pleasure, touching me, kissing me, driving away my memories and enemies. His whiskers rasp my belly, his lips pressing to the center, his tongue flickering into my navel, and I tremble with the silent promise it will soon be where I want it to be. His hand flattens over my sex, inches lower until he is flicking my clit, back and forth, back and forth.

He lifts my legs to his shoulders, spreading me wide, and I am vulnerably his, and aroused beyond belief. He lowers his head, his breath a warm tease on my sensitive places, and I grip the edge of the table, bracing myself for what is to come. He laps at my nub, the barely there touch, and I am breathing hard, wishing I could touch him, incapable of moving, and the muscles of my sex clench so tightly it hurts.
He licks my clit and I am both relieved and on edge in the same moment, ready for more, for that everything he has promised me. Another lick follows. Yes, please, more, I think, and as if he’s heard my silent plea, he gives it to me. His hands slide beneath my backside and he lifts me to his mouth, and it is nothing shy of sweet bliss when his mouth closes down around me. He sucks, drawing deeply on my sensitive flesh, lapping at me, licking me again in all the right ways and right places. I am panting and moaning, and I barely recognize the sounds as my own. Sensations ripple through me and when his fingers slide inside me, I am undone, tumbling into orgasm. The intensity jerks my body and I lose all time and space. It’s escape, sweet, blissful escape, and he keeps me there, slowly bringing me down, the licks of his tongue growing softer, slower. Until I am sated, limp, and he pulls me back onto his lap, my head resting on his shoulder, his hand flattening between my shoulder blades.
“Everything or nothing,” he whispers, and this time, I do not believe he is talking about orgasms and pleasure.
I lean back to look at him, and the idea of what we are becoming is a sweet seduction, threatened by the emptiness of my past. “What if everything is too much?”
He drags two fingers down my cheek. “Sweetheart, I don’t have a ceiling. We’re going to find out if you do.”
