Review of Sugar Topped by E. Davies & Zach Jenkins

I received this book with the understanding I would leave a voluntary and honest review. This is a M/M book so if you find this offensive please stop reading now. In this book we get Julian Holloway’s story and meet Luke Thornton. We find that though Julian really does want someone to be by his side he cannot seem to make the time to be with anyone longer than one night. Julian is determined to prove that he deserves his position in his architecture firm even if he dresses less than masculine even at work. It seems however the more time he spends at work the less time he has for anything or anyone else. Can Julian loosen up or will he lose everything to the job he wants to hold onto so badly?
Luke is just the new straight guy of the group or at least that is what it seems like. However the more time he spends with them the more he isn’t quite sure that is completely true. He is having some of the same feelings that his friend Connor found that he had as well for Aaron. We met this couple in Just a Summer Deal. Luke knows that he is having feelings for Julian but what they are he isn’t quite sure yet. Also can he deal with the fact that Julian seems to choose his job over them every-time? Will this be the thing that breaks them or will they find some middle ground?
This is an amazing story about finding someone that you can be with and determining where your priorities with that person lie. This happens in not just M/M relationships but in all of them. Where do you draw the line between work and your personal life? This is something that is address by both of these men in this story. There are so many things I want to tell you about this story but don’t want to ruin it for any other readers. I was hooked from the first word to the very end and would highly recommend this book to anyone.

Review of Sights on the Seal by Alexis Abbott

I received this book with the understanding I would leave a voluntary and honest review. In this book we meet Rebecca Summers and Adrian O’Connor. Adrian has just gotten out of the Seals and has gone after the one thing he has always wanted Rebecca. So he searches her out and will stop at nothing to have her. He just hopes they are both on the same page because this woman will be his. Little does he know that his time in the Seals may have just followed him home. Can he keep the woman he needs alive as well as find out what secrets are following them both now?
Rebecca’s life changed in just one night in Afghanistan. She has never regretted what happened during that time but there is one man she wishes she knew where he was. So when Adrian calls her out of the blue all she can think is how badly she wants to see him. What she doesn’t know what to do with the secret she is keeping. Will it cause more problems for them or will it draw them closer together?
This book will have you looking for your own alpha male. There are many twists and turns in this book that will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. There is so much I want to say about this book but don’t want to ruin any of the surprise for any other readers. I will say that this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Review of Fake Bride with Benefits by Riley Rollins

In this book we meet Hunter Thorne and Tess Cassidy. They were high school sweethearts and Tess had visions of them getting married and living in their small town. However Hunter had other plans and the summer after graduation Tess learns what they are. They are not about getting married they are about Hunter joining the military. Tess is heartbroken for the first time; the next will be when she learns that her husband has been cheating on her. Tess wonders if this is it for her and vows to never trust a man again. Little did she know that her first love was going to come back to town again. Will this be a good thing or just another heartbreak for her to get over?
Hunter never had any plans to return to Maple Ridge after he graduated and joined the military. Little did he know he would feel the need to repay some old debts and that would bring him face to face with his high school sweetheart. The one that got away and he has never forgotten. However he has no plans on staying back in town this time and he knows the best thing he can do for her is just finish what he came there for and get out of town. He just can’t though because he believes that she has more in her than she is giving herself credit for. He wants her to fulfill her dreams and potentials and will do anything to help her. Can he help the one woman he can’t forget without hurting her this time or will this be another regret that he will have to live with?
This is a great story about finding love and learning what you will do to keep that love. There are twists and turns in this story that I want to tell you all about but don’t want to ruin the book for anyone else. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Review of Anaconda by Lauren Landish

In this book we meet Gavin “Anaconda” Adams and Brianna Sayles. Brianna is working as a maid for a hotel that is getting ready to host a crew for an upcoming movie. Brianna hasn’t always had an easy life and this job is just to help her get through college. The first room she goes into for her shift though make her wonder if this job is really worth all of the pain she has to endure. So when she gets some help from maintenance she is able to finish all of the VIP rooms in record time. The one problem she runs into is one of the rooms is assigned to a guest names Anaconda. She finds this weird but goes in anyway little did she know that what she would find would be the man himself. Brianna knows nothing about Gavin so when she sees him she runs. Can she find a way to spend time with Gavin or will she lose everything just to make time for a man who will only be in town for a short while?
Gavin is a well know running back and not just because of his game on the field. One mistake that had his towel falling has him as the butt of the jokes for years now. He is hoping with the help of his manager and this movie he can change all that. However a mistaken encounter with a maid has his mind split in two. Part of him really wants this movie to work and the other part of him just wants to find his Cinderella that keeps running from him. Can he have it all or will the fact that he is leaving as soon as this movie is over and his reputation leaving him always wondering what could have been?

This is an amazing book about fame and the price it takes on the actual person behind it. We get to see a side of a celebrity that shows them just wanting to be a person that can live their own life. There are so twists and turns in this book that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

EXCERPT
“Izzy, please. Be reasonable.”
I loved when James begged. “Say it again,” I taunted him.
What the fuck with the be reasonable comment? I’m always reasonable. Okay, maybe that isn’t entirely true. I usually shoot from the hip and save the apologies for later. My big mouth has gotten me into more trouble over the years, and much of it I try to forget, especially when it comes to James.
He arched an eyebrow, and the same shitty smirk that I’d grown accustomed to flashed across his lips. “I could make you say yes.”
“Doubtful.” I glared at him, feeling supercocky even though I was in no position to be.
James, my loving husband of over ten years, decided that tonight was a good time to tie me to the bed. I should’ve known he was up to no good because it’d been more than a little bit since he’d used restraints during sex. I figured we were just getting our kink on and that he wanted to try something new, but nope, the bastard knew I wouldn’t like what he was asking and made sure I didn’t have an out.
“Baby,” he whispered, running his thumbs across my bottom lip and trying to seduce me. “You know you can’t say no to me. Never have and never will.”
There were very few people in this world that could make me do anything, but James had a power over me since the first night I met him. Saying no to him had always been damn near impossible, and I almost hated myself because of it.
I never wanted to be that girl—the one who caved to anything her husband asked. Never in my life had I wanted to be her, an easy mark and a carpet for her husband to walk all over, but things don’t always turn out the way we plan. I learned that the hard way.
James wasn’t even on my radar until the night of Joe and Suzy’s wedding when he sauntered in with his good looks and charm. The arrogant bastard seemed to work me like he’d known me my entire life, and I fell for it.
I thought I’d won when I snuck out. I figured I’d never see him again, so what did it matter. Boy, was I wrong.
“I’ve said no to you plenty of times.” I refused to let him use his sexual prowess, which I’d done in the past, but sometimes I had to dig my heels in and find my inner bitch.
I pulled at the restraints and tried to break free, but it was useless. The man could tie the most wicked knots, and it had been years since I’d been able to wiggle out of them. Every time I escaped, he’d learn a new technique until he found just the right one to render me helpless.
His lips scorched a path down my neck, and my back arched as if begging for his touch. “Say yes, Izzy.”
I stifled the moan that formed low in my throat, but I squeaked instead when he sucked my nipple into his mouth. My body rocked on its own, moving toward him instinctively, wanting the bite of his teeth. His hand slid down my front, cupping my pussy, not hard enough to give me pleasure, only the sweet torment that he reveled in.
“Say yes, and I’ll give you what you want.”
He was playing with me. James was a master manipulator. I didn’t know if it was his background with the DEA or just something he was born with, but he used it perfectly when it suited his purpose.
I clenched my jaw, grinding my teeth together. “No.”
He pulled my panties to the side before dipping two fingers inside me with the most sinful smile. “Last chance, baby,” he warned.
What was he going to do to me if I didn’t give in? The thought passed through my mind, but I pushed it away. I was lost in the feel of his hands on my skin and the ache between my legs, but my resistance held. “No,” I bit out.

Review of A Baby for Chashan by Celia Kyle as Erin Tate

I received this book to read with the understand that I can leave a honest and voluntary review.

This is a short book about the Healing Master Chahan and his Preor mate the Heart Master Khaza. They have been mates for 100 years and with every mating heat Khaza has not been able to conceive a youngling for them. So when she as the Heart Master is drawn to a woman who is in pain she feels like this woman was brought into their lives for a reason. The problem she will have is getting her mate to agree with her. Will they both get what their heart desires or will they be left hurting in the end?

There is so much I want to tell you about this book but because it is so short I don't want to ruin it for others. I will say it will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone.
