Review of Wounded Wolf by Moxie North

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

I this book we meet Prudence and Maverick. Prudence is more of a flower child determine to help the environment and the people around her one cause at a time. So when she hears about the local VA in her area she believes she and her fellow knitters and sowers can help some how. Little did she know she would meet a man there that would touch her in ways she never thought of. Can she get through to Maverick or will they both be doomed to a loveless life?

Maverick has been through a lot over the last decade. One of those things is the loss of part of one of his legs. Maverick sees himself as less of a man and a wolf now, oh yes he is a wolf shifter. So when his wolf smells his mate he wants Maverick to get her now. Maverick however still doesn't think he is good enough for her and thinks they should leave her alone. Fate has other plans for him though and it seems the more he tries to stay away from his mate the more she is there. Can Maverick really give them both a chance or will he let his insecurities get the better of him?

This is a great story about not only finding a love you can't live without but also showing some of the insight of the thinking of an amputee. This shows not only some of the physical sides of it all but the mental as well how loosing a part of your body whether large or small can affect how you look at the world around you and how you react to others in that world. There are many twist and turns in this book that I want to tell you all about but don't want to ruin any of the surprises for anyone. I will say I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
