In this book we meet Autumn Mathers and Thorne Mason. Get ready for the next Mason to take the boom and ride off into the sunset. As we all know they never go that smoothly and Thorne well he is one of the top in the state obstetrician's. On Autumn's first day she is so excited to be working in this new hospital with some of the top people in the state. So when she gets caught in a rain storm while walking to work she thinks nothing can bring her down. When she sees a woman in labor she thinks this is my chance to do what I am training to do. The only problem is on the way to the maternity ward the power goes out. Who is the woman you might ask she is escorting upstairs none other that Asher and November Mason Thorn's family. Thorn can't believe there is literally a newbie in with his family. They were suppose to have a birth in a bed with this one not giving birth in a elevator.
