I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Baylee Barnes and Gale Montoya. This book starts out with Baylee baiting Gale into following her into the woods from the bond fire they are both at. See these two families have been fighting for years over two dragons who loved and both lost for different reasons. She knew that Gale would be there and just hoped to have a moment with him. A moment she does get the problem with that is her dragon wants so much more and she knows with the obligations she has to her family that just won't be possible. Gale knows the old stories and knows what happened after a Barnes and Montoya fell in love the Barnes woman lost her life and Montoya man well he is holed up in the tunnels of the old mine. So when Baylee comes on to him all his dragon can think about is how badly it wants her. When he learns who she really is he wonders if he is being played. Can these two find a HEA or will the sins of the past make a future impossible?
Amazing start to this series. These characters have you rooting for them one moment and wanting to slap them the next. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
