Review of Chief Bear: Rescue Bears by Scarlett Grove

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Levi and Juliet. Both have had to fight for their lives at times and have the scars to prove it. Levi is part of a Bear shifter rescue group that works out of his resort on Fate Mountain. One day during a mission his computer tech Corey tells him about the dating website that he has made up for shifters now that they are being accepted in the main stream of society. It is called mate.com. Levi is lonely and would like nothing more than to find his mate and have some cubs to pass his legacy onto.  The thing is female to male shifters are 5 to 1 so the likely hood of him finding a shifter mate are low. However there are things in his past that make the thought of having a human mate a scary prospective. Levi decides to give it a chance what harm can come of looking? Could he find the one woman he is meant to be with and if so will she choose him too?

Juliet is a woman who for most of her life has been put down in one way or another. She accepts this for 2 years in her previous relationship and when she finally decides enough is enough she has even more anguish when he is promoted as her boss at her job. She likes what she does but does not like the work environment that she is in. So when she decides that she has had enough of being alone she also decides to join mate.com and finds that she has a 100% match with Levi. Both of them are willing to text because this is safe but meeting is something totally different. When Charolette and Harry decide to have their wedding in Levi's resort these two will finally meet. Will Juliet get past her fears and give Levi a real chance? What happens if Levi brings up the possibility of them being mates will she get her HEA or will this be one of those broken mating's?

This is an amazing story about finding the strength to look for more for your life after finding mostly tragedy. This couple has dealt with a lot over the years but seeing what they want and are willing to go after makes you want to find your own Levi and fall in love all over again. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
