Review of Wild Bear: Rescue Bears by Scarlett Grove

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Lily Mason and we get more of Shane Kennan's (Wild Bear) story. Lily has been hiding something for the last 6 years and his name is Theo. Lily and Shane have known each other since high school. She always though she would be safe and that their would be a real chance for them to have a future together before he left her the first time. Oh but that wasn't the only time he came back years later and the night before he went off to war they hooked up she again thought they had a future but by morning he was gone with no explanation. They are both now back on Fate Mountain and both sign up for shifter dating app Mate.com. So when Lily sees who she is mated with she can't believe he is back. She knows she needs a father and a strong male shifter for her son but can she trust him with not only her heart for a a third time but with his sons as well?

Shane thinks that he will sign up with Mate.com just for fun. Maybe sleep with a few human woman so they can say they've had the experience and be able to walk away. However when he finds out that the woman he knows is his mate has signed up as well and talks about a son he knows he has to meet with her again. The problem Shane has is he isn't sure that Lily is any safer around him then she was before he went to war, and really he would protect her even from himself. Shane knows though with the chance that this is his cub he needs to step up and be there for his son. He just hopes that maybe just maybe he can make it work this time. How do you protect the one woman you want when there are times you aren't sure what you have done or will do while a bear?

This is a great love story that also shows you should never underestimate the person you are meant to be with. Shane keeps thinking he is protecting Lily but really he isn't really giving her the chance to make her own choices or show him how strong she can be for not only the man but the bear as well. This story will run you though a whole bunch of emotions that will have you wondering what will happen next. This book is the second book in the Bear Shifter Series but can be read as a stand alone. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
