Review of Step Beast by Selena Kitt
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
In this book we meet Mathilda (tilly to her friends) Conrad Beeston III or Beast to everyone who knows him. Beast has been gone for years and Tilly believes the only things that has brought him back is the fact that her mother is dying. After loosing his mother when he was young and his father to suicide Tilly believes that Beast looks at her mom as the only family he has left. Tilly knows she has really strong feelings for Beast if only she could get him to see it too.
Beast is out of the military and here for a reason but won't talk to anyone about it. Tilly keeps trying to but into his business and the more he pushes her the more she pushes back. He wants to tell her everything but there is a part of him that will always keep her safe.
There is a great push and pull dynamic to this book. There are a lot of family secrets going on as well. Like why is Beast back? What made him leave so suddenly all those years ago? Why does Tilly's mom always seem to be pushing her aside? This is an amazing book that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
