Review of: The Fall Up by Aly Martinez

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Levee and Sam. One night they meet on the San Francisco bridge. Both of them have problems when they meet on the bridge but neither are willing to open up about it. As time goes on we learn who each of these people are Levee is Levee Williams a famous singer. She doesn't want the press to know about what she is doing at night so she believes if she goes in a wig and keeps her sunglasses on no one will know who she really is. Sam however sees her not just in the I see a plant or another person but see what she is feeling. He understands her even though he doesn't know exactly what she is going through.

Sam is Sam Rivers he is a man who started his own refurbishing business and is very successful. Sam is fighting some demons of his own and isn't put off with the fact that he and Levee talk every night without telling each other their names. However that changes over time he would like to get to know who his new friend really is. He wants to know the real person behind this strange woman he meets on the bridge every night.

This is an amazingly powerful story about love, acceptance, and finding the limitations in not only ourselves but on those that are around us. This story has many ups and downs but once you start it you will not be able to put it down. I have read other books by this author and this is another amazing hit of hers. She really draws you into her characters and makes you feel as though they are your friends. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. This will be a book that you will read and tell others to read as well.
