Review of Shades of Dragon by Catherine Vale

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Tegan and Ciara. When this story starts out we find a young Tegan running from a Rhino-beast and unable to call upon his dragon to help him get out of the situation. Tegan was dropped off when he was young and was never properly taught how to bring forth his dragon so when he needs it most he has problems bringing it to the forefront. On this day though another dragon happens to be flying by and sees Tegan's problem he stops to help the young boy and the more questions he asks the more he learns how alone this boy is. Grey is not the type of man or dragon to leave a young-ling on his own so he takes him home to be a part of his clan. Tegan is not sure what to do with such kindness but vows to make the man proud that he took him in that day. Years later Grey's clan has made a pact with the human clans that have sprouted up in the area. They will trade protection from other dragons for goods. Grey knows something has happened though and he is to old now to go investigate on his own so he asks Tegan to find out and bring the information back to him. On this information gathering he finds a burned out village the only survivor Ciara.

Ciara knows the instant she meets Tegan that there is a magnetic pull that she has never felt before from either human or dragon. She knows she needs to know more about him, and the more she knows the more she wants him and to be with him. Both Ciara and Tegan know that they shouldn't be together, they don't know why but this is what they believe.

In this book we find a story about love, acceptance, and finding the courage to go for something that you never thought you would have. This book is so amazing it will have you hooked from the first word to the very last. This is the type of book you lock the door and not talk to anyone until you finish it. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
