I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Jade Clark and Jamie Jensen. When this book opens we find that on her way home Jade feels like she is being followed. She is just happy to have a safe place to go home to. Ever since her father died in a skiing accident she has been living in the apartment with her best friend. All she really wants is to be a writer but her father always taught her to earn her way and not to take handouts. So though she is living in her best friends home working as a waitress is what she thinks she needs to do. This day however brings back the one man she has had a crush on since she was a nerd in her teens. She is sure he still won't see or or won't see her as anything but his daughter's friend, so when he looks at her she isn't sure what to do. Jamie is happy to be back home, being away was grueling and took much longer than he expected to start the business in Japan. From the moment he sees Jade it is like his world stops. When he realizes who she is he can't believe the one woman he wants more than anything is the one woman he never should. When his daughter tells him about her stalker he tells her he will be willing to give her a self defense lesson. Anything to get closer to her. Will this show them both they are meant for the HEA they both want or is this just a recipe in future disaster?
This is an amazing story by this author. This story does have its ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
