I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Malory and Braxton. Braxton is the chief of team of paranormal people that work with the police department to deal with case they can't. He recently got funding to add a necromancer to the group though it was not a popular idea with the higher ups. He knows the stories they say about them but in his line of work he knows they are a great asset to have. As long as you find the right one who works with a team not trying to showboat. He is trying to get more funding to hire at least one more person to the team but the higher ups wasn't him to bring in more results before they will agree to this. So they go out on a case that they believe will lead to nothing but a overblown story only to find it is more than they expected. Malory has known for years what she is because her mother is a necromancer as well. With all the stereo types out there though once her dad found out what her mom was he wanted nothing to do with either of them. In turn her mother turned her back on her powers and wants her daughter to do the same and settle down with a nice man and have a family. Malory wants more though she wants to help people and she knows she can use her gifts in this department to make a difference. What happens though when everything they thought they knew changes will they work with the change or will it swallow them whole?
This is a great story by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
