Review of American Bad Boy by Eddie Cleveland

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Lauren and Mack. What would you do when the plan you had for your life isn't the one you get? When this book starts out Lauren and Mack are just about to graduate from high school. Lauren has in her mind their future planned for them graduate from high school, go to the same college, get married and have beautiful babies together. All of this sound wonderful to her until her long-time boyfriend and best friend tells her he has been accepted to West Point and wants to be a military man. All Lauren sees is their plans going up in smoke. When Mack asks her to try a long distance relationship she is still to young to see the big picture and breaks things off in stead. Will their future bring them back together or will they only ever find a way to be friends again?

Mack was hurt when Lauren won't even consider trying the long distance relationship but he knows in his heart this is what he is suppose to do. The military gives him a sense of purpose that nothing else in his life ever has. But while overseas he finds that one moment can change your life forever. Mack looses part of his leg but saves others lives. He then begins to find that coming home isn't always the fix all of things. Can he find a way to get his life back of will he loose the one woman who means more to him then anything?

This book is amazing. It is a true military love story. This author really deals with some of the hard hitting issues with PTSD in the military men and women. He shows how they feel when experiencing it and how they feel about treatment. This book will give you an amazing story on so many levels it will have you reading it again and again. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone
