Review of Soros: Alien Warlord's Conquest by Vi Voxley

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Katherine "Kat" Edwards and Soros. Kat is a bounty hunter and when this story opens up we find that she has infiltrated a ship to get her mark. However while she is there she realizes that there are up to a dozen marks she can get. Though it is not easy she isn't willing to give up for anything and ends up with the help of her crew capturing them all. When she completes this mission she is called to the Corgan world to discuss her next mission with none other than Zoey Swan. Zoey is sending her to bring Soros back to the planet from the training school so that Nadar can determine if he is going to challenge him for leadership of all the clans. However one look at his picture and Kat isn't sure what she's going to do. Is it possible to fall in love with a mark, and is there even a future for them?

Soros knows that both sides want him to join with them but he wants out of it all. However he is beginning to realize that staying neutral is just not an option that he has available. When he sees Kat's fighter shot down he wonders why the Galatic Union has been sent after him and if there is a third group trying to get him to join something. However one look at Kat and he know this is so much more. Nothing so far has brought out his protective instincts like she has and he will do anything to be with her forever even die for her. Soros knows what he wants but getting two head strong men to realize he isn't the issue is another matter. Can he get his woman and be able to keep her with him for ever or will these two separate them in ways they never thought possible?

We are back with the Corgans and they are still in fighting. We find someone that Nadar both fears and respects and he wants to know which side he will be on. We also learn a little more about Nadar Brenger and how he relates to Soros. This story is like others in this series just because you have found your one doesn't mean smooth sailing, there are always a few bumps in the road. I think this book is amazing because the author gives us a female character that we all want to be, badass to the core. She will be a character that you will root for throughout this whole book. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
