Review of Mastered: Teagan by Krystal Shannan

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Finn and Teagan. When this story opens we find that both Finn and Teagan have gone to the Castle which is one of the largest BDSM clubs in Sanctuary to participate in Luck of the Draw night.  Both Finn and Teagan are Lycan's but the one thing Teagan doesn't want is another Lycan. She has a lot of pain from her past and isn't willing to talk about it that is why on this night she is looking for a dom with a sadist streak. In her option there is only one way she will find the peace she needs and that is to have another person beat it out of her. That all changes when there are only two matches made that night and she is one of them. This is not what Teagan wants but she finds herself unable to use her safeword and run from the situation.

Finn knows the minute he lays his eyes on Teagan that she is the fated mate he has been waiting for all of his life the problem is convincing her of this fact. Finn knows there is more to Teagan than she is saying, but he knows he can't force it out of her. Beating her is not really what she needs and he is just the dom to prove to her he is exactly what she need and really does crave. The problem is his skidish little mate isn't ready to listen to him and isn't ready to tell him what exactly is going on.

This is an amazing book about love and finding the right way to let go of the pain of loosing someone without loosing the memory of that person. Both of these characters have gone through very painful things but only one of them has truly learned how to hold on to the good and let go of the bad. This is a story that I would recommend to anyone and everyone.  It shows that not everyone deals with pain the same but that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel with the right help.
