Review of Alien Prince's Bride by Vi Voxley

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Violet and Areon. Violet is a Calaya and she and 6 other Calaya women are the prize for a tournament. Areon use to be one of Violet's guards but one day Areon tripped and knocked her over knocking her veil and nearly revealing her natural beauty. In the Calaya culture the women are to be kept away until they reach age in which there will be a tournament that the greatest warrior will win their hand in marriage. The women's beauty is legendary and all the men in their culture want a Calaya woman when she reaches age. So when Areon knocked her over and nearly revealed her it was almost punished by death. However he father the overlord felt that Areon was worthy of his time so he said if he got off the planet immediately and never returned he would spare his life. Violet knows only the most decorated warriors come to compete in the tournaments. So when she learns her bumbling former guard is signed up for them she feels like she must to everything to save him. The question then becomes was that first meeting the start of something or is Violet just looking for a champion to win her?

Areon promised Violet he would return one day. So when he learns of the tournament and finds that the woman he use to guard is one of the prizes he knows he has to enter. No matter what Violet believes she needs to do to protect him he will show her he is worthy of her hand in marriage. There is something about Areon that he hasn't told Violet or anyone about but he knows when it is revealed he will be the most hunted man out there. The overlord never thought much of him but he know one he discovers his secret he will try and kill him. There are dangers at every turn in the tournament. Will he risk everything for the woman who he believes is his?

This book is slightly different then her previous Brion Brides books. In this one we are not showing two different races coming together to ensure the bonding. In this book we are looking for a race to grown within it's self to bring back its glory. This book will have many parrels that our main characters will have to face if they are ever to find a love they deserve. This book will have you on the edge of you seat from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it.
