Review of Scarlett and the Bear by Cara Wylde

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Scarlett and Braden. Scarlett has been practicing for years she is determined to ensure that no more women in her village are taken as tribute to the wolf that is out in the woods. The problem is the wolf is a shifter which stack the deck against her. However when a stranger comes to town she thinks she just might have a chance.

Braden has been dealing with shifters who take advantage of the humans that are around them for years now. Though he drifts from town to town he has enough money to get people to talk without arousing to much suspicion. However the first time he hears Scarlett he knows she something special, as soon as he sees her he knows he has found the mate he wasn't looking for. The problem is the wolf shifter that they are all afraid of. Is there a chance that he will loose his mate to another shifter before he even gets the chance.

In this book we see how standing up for what you believe in can influenced your surroundings. These two people are willing to make sacrifices to ensure that others have the choices that they didn't. I think this book is well written and keeps you hooked on the story from the first word to the very end. It is s short story so I don't want to give anything way so I won't say any more but I would recommend it.
