Review of Secrets to Bear by Flora Dare

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Lira and Jake. Lira has just broken up with her fiance Ethan after she walked in on him with her best friend. Ethan however is not quite ready for it to be over yet. No matter how much Lira pushes him away he is determined to get her back by any means necessary. So when she goes out for a drink in another town and he is there all she wants is to get away. That is when she gets her first look at Jake. Jake rescues her but Lira isn't sure if he is rescuing her because he wants her or if he is doing it because he really cares about her. Can you make a connection that will last with just 1 look? Also can she take on him and all the family secrets that she is learning?

Jake walks into the bar to have something to eat and drink before he has to help his family move to Grayslake the next day, but 1 look at Lira has him making another plan. Jake and Lira get that night together but when he wakes up she is gone all he has is her first name so he doesn't know how to track her down. Jake knows she is his mate he just has to get the woman on the same page. Oh ya and that little problem he has finding her first to convince her. Can he get the woman that fate has meant for him or will all the obstacles in their life be to much?

What do you get when you have 2 people who meet, hook-up and loose track of one another, with a couple of grandma's thrown in the mix? An amazing story. This story is great because it really shows what happens with you are finally able to get past the hurt and find a way to go after something that is perfect for you. This story wouldn't be all that good if there wasn't some mystery and some adversaries that just won't go away. This story will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I want to tell you all about everything that happens but as a reader I hate spoilers and you never know what someone will consider a spoiler. I will say this needs to be on everyone's must read list. I highly recommend it.
