I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Petal Riley and Cyrus Blake. Cyrus as you remember is Jude's partner in the new security firm they opened up. We originally met Cyrus in Eight Long Years, we didn't get a lot of his story but we do in this book. Cyrus was with a woman while in the military that just couldn't take it and wrote him a dear john letter. So when he comes home he sells everything and take that and all his savings and helps Jude start the business. The thing is though he is not looking for love again he just doesn't see that it is in the cards for him. There is one thing though he can't seem to give up his daily stops to Petal's bakery just to see her. He doesn't want to label it but when he tried for more one time she said she wanted to be friends. Petal has wanted Cyrus for quite awhile now. There was one time she tried to show him she was interested but things went south and they ended up in the friend zone after that. One Halloween changes everything though. Petal decides instead of going for a childlike cartoon character she wants to be a hottie this year. The things she really wants is to be the treat that Cyrus wants that night. One night is all it takes for things to change in so many ways though. Will this be the beginning of a HEA or will this be the end of them all together including as just friends?
This is another amazing hit by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about, oh do I want to tell you so much. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will grab hold of you on page one and not let go till the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
