Review of Next Door Daddy by Victoria Snow

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Esperanza "Espie" and Alec. Esperanza is back home (sort of) to help her mother take care of her father after his accident that injured his back. Esperanza just graduated from college with an art degree and all she wants to do is teach children. Where she lived though she wasn't having much luck. So she agrees to come and help her mother and father. Where they live now though is a far cry from their old place. They now live in the pool house of a mansion. Her mother tells her the boss is generous and a good man but mainly stays to himself with the blinds constantly closed. On her first full day there she meets a little girl she isn't sure who she is but knows she shouldn't be out on her own. That is when she meets Alec when he thinks she is someone who broke into his home. Alec has had trouble since his wife died. He knows he should spend more time with his daughter than he does but she just reminds him so much of his dead wife. So when he comes home and find Espie and his daughter playing together he sees red thinking someone has broken into his home. When she lays into him he knows he is in trouble but in a good kind this time. Will these two find the HEA they desperately want or will old ghosts make that impossible?

This is another amazing story by this author. It really shows how grief can blind you to things that are right in front of you. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about however I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
