I received this book with the understanding I could leave a voluntary and honest review. In this book we meet Vaughn Lair and Haven Castell. In this book Vaughn is a licensed therapist that does a radio show. His show has been picked up by talk radio which will get the sensors off his back but he has to move from L.A. to New York. The only thing he is taking with him is his best friend and personal assistant Haven. They have known each other for years since she walked in on him and her college roommate having sex. She nicknamed him Mooner and he named her Perv. The roommate didn't last but their friendship has. So when he got the opportunity to make it big the first person he wanted with him was Haven. Since coming to New York though it feels like somethings changed he doesn't know what but something has. Can he figure it out before everything around him comes tumbling down? Haven has been by Vaughn's side for for many years now. She has never complained, ok not as much as some could have, lol. She is always there with the truth for him whether he wants to hear it or not. She has been his rock but when she gets to New York she finds that she wants somethings that are just for her, like a new start in life. She knows she has always been the weird girl but in New York she feels like she is finally the weird girl that doesn't stand out like a beacon. She will always be there for Vaughn and would never give up her friendship with him but things feel like they are changing. Can she help him and herself with these changes or will they loose each other like others in their past along the way? This is an amazing book about stepping out finding what you want in life. There are many twists and turns in this book that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I want to tell you all about them but don't want to ruin the book for any other readers. I will say this book is another amazing hit for this author. You will find that Lizzy, Evan, Jack and Leila will all make appearances in this book, however they are not the focus Vaughn and Haven are. I would highly recommend this book however to anyone and everyone. If you have not read the other books from this author check her out immediately. |
